Today marks the 10th anniversary of SSgt. Sky Mote’s return home.
On August 10, 2012, Marine SSgt. Sky Mote was killed in action with two of his MARSOC teammates in Afghanistan. For his heroism on that fateful day, SSgt. Mote was awarded the Navy Cross, the second-highest medal of valor awarded to a member of the United States Navy, Marine Corps or Coast Guard.
